Product update: Serious Chocolate Brownies

Brownies have been a favourite among my friends and family. It is one of our best selling items since we started this online baking business. Serious Chocolate Brownies is chocolatey, dense but soft, sweet and best of all, yummy. In bayudelights kitchen (ceh ceh), we experiment different brands of raw ingredients. I use Van Houten cocoa powder (as that's the best brand that I could find in my area) and Meriah cooking chocolate (often found at Econsave).  I find it best to use Buttercup for this brownie recipe. For a reason, it gives the crisp thin layer on top of the brownie. It cannot be overbaked (my oven bakes at 180C), else it will not be chewy. Also, the brownie mixture must not be overmixed, else it will be cakey.

One whole pan is sold at RM28. The size is 8"x8". This is how one whole pan looks like.

For half a pan, it looks like this,

 Half a pan is RM15. The size is 8"x4".

The mouthful size brownies or brownie bars as I call them, are sold in 3 box sizes.

 Large box (32 bars) = RM32.
Medium box (24 bars) = RM26.
Small box (12 bars) = RM13.

Whole pan (white box), medium and small box.
For the brownie bars, minimum purchase is one (1) medium box.

Chilled Strawberry Cheesecake: The recipe

This cheesecake is biscuit based and simple to make. You will need for the base;
150gm digestive biscuit
85gm melted butter
25gm caster sugar
Crush the biscuit and mix in the other ingredients. Press onto the bottom of your mould. I often use an 8" round loose bottom tin. Sometimes I line it, sometimes I don't. Wanna guess why? he he.. Refrigerate for at least 20 minutes.
Other ingredients needed for the cake:
250gm cream cheese
50gm caster sugar
15gm gelatine
60gm water
300gm whipping cream
2 tbsp strawberry filling
½ tsp strawberry paste
1. Mix the cheese and sugar and beat until just mixed.
2. Mix gelatine with water and double boil until the gelatine completely dissolves. Add this mix into the cheese mixture and combine well.
3. Whip the cream until soft peaks and add into the cheese mixture. Combine well. Add in the strawberry filling and paste. Pour into mould and smooth the surface. Refrigerate until set. I always leave mine at least 5 hours in the fridge.
4. When the cake is set, unmould and pour some strawberry filling on top. Try decorating with fresh strawberries and/or cream.
